The short answer

The EcoBoxes Cali catalog runs the full life of a corrugated box. Used Gaylords (Grades A–D) are the greenest and cheapest way to move bulk product; new Gaylords exist for the jobs that genuinely demand first-run board — food contact, export, tight tolerances. Around them sit boxes & cartons, the pallets and accessories that complete a unit load, and the upcycled goods we build from board too worn to reship. Pick a category below, or send us a spec and we'll match it.

What you actually get

Photographed, not promised.

Every used lot is inspected and shot from the real batch you'll receive — no stock images, no mystery loads. New stock is spec-matched to your job.

Decision guide

How to choose the right category

Four questions get almost everyone to the right shelf. Answer them in order and the category picks itself.

1. Does your product touch food, pharma, or a customs form?

If the answer is yes, you are almost certainly in new Gaylord boxes — food-contact loads need a virgin, traceable liner with no prior contents, and export shipments need certifiable, uniform board that will clear an ISPM inspection and survive weeks at sea. These are the two cases where paying for first-run fiber is not a luxury but a requirement. Everything below assumes your load does not hit this bar.

2. Are you moving bulk product on a pallet?

If you are filling a 40″ × 48″ footprint and stacking it on a forklift, you want a Gaylord — a pallet-sized bulk box that replaces dozens of small cartons with a single unit load. For the vast majority of bulk handling, used Gaylords in Grade A or B perform identically to new at a fraction of the price and a fraction of the carbon. Buy used first; upgrade to new only if question 1 forced your hand.

3. Or are you packing, dividing, or presenting smaller units?

Retail packs, master cartons, sleeves, partitions and dividers live in boxes & cartons — regular slotted cartons (RSC) through fully custom die-cuts, in new or reclaimed board, at any run size. This is where you go when the box is the shipping unit rather than the bulk container.

4. What finishes the load?

A bare Gaylord is rarely the whole job. Lids and bottom caps keep contents clean and stackable, liners protect powders and food-contact product, corner boards and straps stabilize the stack, and a sound pallet carries it all. That is pallets & accessories. And when a box finally wears past reship, it becomes upcycled goods instead of landfill.

Still stuck between two categories? Email the spec and a photo. We would rather point you to the cheaper, greener option than upsell you into a box you don't need.
Where they go to work

Agriculture & cannabis

Ventilated bins, half-Gaylords, harvest and cure storage

Textiles & apparel

Light single-wall for high-volume, low-density garment moves

Recycling & scrap

Grade C/D collection bins that earn their keep before baling

Chemicals & powders

Sealed octabins and liners for free-flowing granular product

Manufacturing & assembly

WIP totes, line-side bins, right-sized new runs for automation

The core decision

Used vs. new, in one screen

Most orders come down to this fork. Used unless proven otherwise is our house rule — and usually yours too, once you see the trade.

Start here

Used Gaylords

Reclaimed, inspected and sorted into Grades A–D. The same box, one life earlier, at a fraction of the cost and carbon. Ideal for bulk moves, storage, internal totes and one-way outbound loads.

  • Lowest price per unit, often same-week freight.
  • Reuse skips pulping, re-manufacture and a new box's freight.
  • Mix grades on one load — A for outbound, C for the yard.

When required

New Gaylords

First-run board built to your exact spec. Reach for it when contact purity, export compliance or dimensional precision are non-negotiable — and we'll say so honestly when they are not.

  • Food-grade liners with full traceability.
  • ISPM-friendly, customs-ready export board.
  • Exact ECT, size and print for automated fill lines.

Why it's built this way

The reuse loop behind the catalog

Every category is a stage in one loop. A box enters as new or reclaimed stock, works for years across grades, and only leaves as recycled fiber or an upcycled good — never as trash.

Reuse beats recycling every time, because it keeps a box at full value with near-zero added energy. See the math on our sustainability page.

Popular sizes that move fastest

These footprints turn over constantly, so they price and ship best. Odd sizes are our specialty too — if you have run it before, we can usually find it again.

Don't forget the load

What comes with your order

A Gaylord is the container, not the whole solution. These accessories turn a bare box into a clean, stackable, ship-ready unit load — add them to any order.

Lids & bottom caps

Keep contents clean, dry and stackable, and protect the top edge on multi-trip boxes.

Gaylord liners

Poly and food-grade liners for powders, granules, greasy parts and food-contact product.

Corner boards & straps

Stabilize the stack, protect edges and lock the unit load down for freight.

Recycled pallets

GMA and custom footprints, refurbished and inspected, to carry the whole assembly.

Sleeves & dividers

Convert a bin into partitioned storage, or protect delicate product mid-transit.

Bands & edge protection

Everything needed to band, cap and ship — quoted alongside the boxes.

Questions

Catalog FAQs

Do I have to pick a category before I contact you?
No. If you know the outcome — “I need to move 2,000 lb of castings on a pallet” — just send that. We'll route you to the right category, grade and wall, and flag if used will do the job for less.
Can one order span multiple categories?
Absolutely. A typical load pairs used Gaylords with lids, liners and refurbished pallets, or mixes Grade A boxes for outbound with Grade C for the yard. We build the whole unit load on one quote.
How do I know whether to buy used or new?
Used, unless your product touches food or pharma, ships for export, or needs exact specs and a flawless look. Those go new; everything else is greener and cheaper used.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes — van, flatbed and backhaul-matched freight across the US from Woods Cross, UT. See freight & transport for lanes and backhaul savings.
What if I have surplus boxes instead of a shortage?
Then flip it around: our sell program buys empties and overstock by the truckload, quoted fast and picked up faster. Your surplus becomes someone else's Grade A stock.
Can you match a box we already run?
Send a sample or the full spec — size, wall, ECT, liner, print. We reproduce it in new board, or source a used equivalent, and we'll suggest a lighter spec if we spot a way to cut material without losing strength.
