Boxes that already lived once. Ready to work again.
We buy, sell, recycle and haul used & new Gaylord boxes across the USA — plus pallets, accessories and the upcycled goods we make from boxes too worn to reship. Same box, a fraction of the carbon, a fraction of the cost.

One yard, the whole loop.
Most suppliers only sell you boxes. We close the loop: we source reclaimed Gaylords, grade them honestly, deliver them, then buy them back and recycle whatever is truly spent. You get lower packaging spend and a clean sustainability story — on paper, with numbers.
- Buy or sell by the pallet or the truckload.
- Grades A–D sorted and photographed before you commit.
- Documented diversion for your ESG reporting.

Every reused Gaylord is corrugated that never had to be made twice. Our live calculator turns your order into real numbers you can put in a report — CO₂e avoided, water saved, trees left standing.
What does reusing boxes actually save?
≈ 23 mature trees left standing and 1,050 kWh of energy not spent on virgin pulp. Estimates for planning only — ask us for a verified diversion report on your account.

Industries we serve
Gaylords touch almost every supply chain. These are the operations that lean on us hardest — and why reused bulk boxes fit each one.
Agriculture & produce
Field bins, octabins and vented Gaylords for harvest, sorting and cold-chain packouts — reused hard, then recycled clean.
Food & beverage
Food-grade new triple-wall for ingredients and co-pack, plus graded used bins for dry, non-contact staging.
Manufacturing
Inbound parts arrive in Gaylords daily. We reclaim the empties and feed sized, graded stock back to the line.
Recycling & MRFs
Baling, OCC recovery and backhaul lanes that turn a material recovery facility's own stream into value.
E-commerce returns
Reverse-logistics hubs generate clean, lightly used bins — ideal Grade A/B candidates for resale.
Cannabis & hemp
Compliant, traceable bulk containers for biomass and trim, with documented chain-of-custody destruction.
Automotive & parts
Heavy, dense loads that demand double- and triple-wall bins rated for real weight, trip after trip.
Textiles & apparel
High-volume, low-density bulk moves where reused single-wall Gaylords keep packaging spend near zero.
Used vs. new Gaylords, side by side
Used wins on cost and carbon almost every time. New earns its keep when the spec is non-negotiable. Here is the honest comparison.
| Factor | Used (Grades A–D) | New (first-run) |
|---|---|---|
| Cost per box | 40–70% less than new, depending on grade | Full first-run pricing |
| Carbon footprint | Near-zero added — the box already exists | Full pulping, forming & freight of new board |
| Lead time | Often same week from stock | Mill run & conversion, typically longer |
| Consistency | Graded & photographed; minor cosmetic variance | Uniform, print-ready, exact spec |
| Food / export contact | Best for dry, non-contact & internal loads | Required for food-grade & certified export |
| Reusability | Grade A/B built for multiple more trips | Maximum trip life from trip one |
How we grade every used box, A–D
One honest scale, applied the same way to every unit before it earns a spot on a pallet. You approve the grade; the grade is what ships.
| Grade | Condition | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Grade A | Like-new. One trip or none. Clean flaps, square corners, no crush. | Retail returns, resale display, multi-trip reuse |
| Grade B | Lightly used. Minor scuffs, all walls sound, fully reusable. | General bulk shipping, totes, seasonal storage |
| Grade C | Working-grade. Visible wear, maybe a repaired flap, still load-rated. | Internal moves, dunnage, one-way outbound |
| Grade D | End-of-life. Sold as-is for salvage or baled for OCC. | Void fill, craft stock, recycling feedstock |
Many customers mix grades on one load — Grade A for outbound, Grade C for the floor. Tell us the split and we build it. See the full grade glossary.
Materials & specs at a glance
The quick-reference every buyer wants: wall types, typical footprints and what each one is really built to carry.
| Wall / type | Typical size (L × W × H, in) | Load rating | Where it shines |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single-wall | 40 × 48 × 36 | ~1,000 lb stack, light-to-medium | High-volume, low-density goods; textiles |
| Double-wall | 40 × 48 × 45 | ~1,500–2,000 lb stack | General bulk, produce, mixed loads |
| Triple-wall | 48 × 40 × 48 | ~2,500–3,000+ lb stack | Dense, heavy or export loads; parts |
| Octabin / half | 30 × 30 × 30 | Load-dependent | Powders, granulate, small parts |
| Pallet (recycled) | 48 × 40 GMA | ~2,800 lb dynamic | Unit-load base under any Gaylord |
Ratings are typical ranges — actual capacity depends on board grade, stacking and condition. The full size guide decodes every dimension and wall grade.
Why reuse beats recycling — every single time
Recycling corrugated is genuinely good: old boxes become new board instead of methane in a landfill. But recycling is not free. Every recycled box still has to be collected, baled, trucked to a mill, re-pulped, screened, re-formed, dried, re-converted and shipped back out as a brand-new box. That is a lot of energy, water and diesel to end up roughly where you started.
Reuse skips the entire loop. A Grade A Gaylord that goes back into service carries product again at near-zero added carbon — no pulping, no re-forming, no second manufacturing run. It is the difference between repairing a good tool and melting it down to cast a new one. That is why the waste hierarchy puts reduce and reuse above recycling, and why we build our whole yard around keeping a box in service before we ever bale it.
A single triple-wall Gaylord reused across five trips can displace four brand-new boxes — roughly 60–90 lb of virgin corrugated and the water and CO₂e that come with making it.
When a box finally can't carry a load safely, it still doesn't hit a landfill. It becomes upcycled goods — planters, dunnage, craft stock — or clean OCC bales that re-enter the paper stream. Run the numbers yourself on the Reuse Loop calculator.

What operations teams tell us
No invented names — just the kind of thing we hear from the docks and buying desks we serve.
“We cut bulk-box spend by nearly half switching to graded Grade B Gaylords, and the loads look exactly like the photos every time.”
“They buy our empties by the truckload and email a diversion summary I hand straight to our ESG report. Surplus went from a cost to a credit.”
“Email-only sounded strange until I realized every spec, price and pickup window is in writing. Nothing gets lost in a voicemail.”
