Join the reuse crew
We are a small team in Woods Cross that keeps good boxes in circulation and out of the ground. If that sounds like work worth doing, we should talk.
Say hello — quick inquiry
Tell us which role fits you; attach a resume when you email us.
We hire people who take pride in getting the details right — because our whole business runs on trust. To apply, email a resume to hello@ecoboxescali.com and tell us which role fits you. We have no phone on purpose, so email is the front door for everything, including hiring. Open roles span the yard, grading, the road, the office and the upcycle bench.
Small team, real impact
We are not a startup chasing a buzzword — we have been keeping boxes in circulation since 2014. The crew is small, the standards are high, and the mission is honest: reuse first, grade truthfully, do the math. You will not be a cog here. What you do on the yard on a Tuesday shows up in a customer's diversion report and, eventually, in fewer boxes buried in the ground.
Read our mission & values to see what we actually mean by that, and our story for how a pile of pallets turned into this.
Where you would work
Our yard and shop:
2532 S 1560 W, Woods Cross, UT 84087
Most roles are on-site. Driving roles are regional and home-based out of the yard. Email is how we run the place, so being comfortable writing things down helps in every role here.
Where you could fit
Do not see a perfect match? Email us anyway — good people find a spot.
Yard Associate
The heart of the operation. You unload trailers, sort boxes by size and grade, stage orders for pickup and keep the yard clean and safe. Forklift experience is a plus but we will train the right person who shows up ready to work and cares about doing it right.
What you would do
- Unload inbound trailers and check loads against the written quote
- Sort boxes by footprint, wall count and grade
- Stage and wrap outbound orders for pickup
- Keep aisles clear and the yard safe in all weather
What we look for
Reliable, safety-minded, comfortable on your feet all day. Forklift certification is a plus, not a requirement — we train.
Box Grader / QC
You are why our A–D grades mean something. You inspect used boxes for crush, wall integrity, staining and prior use, assign the grade, and photograph each lot so buyers see exactly what they get. Sharp eye, honest calls, zero shortcuts.
What you would do
- Inspect every box against the fixed A–D scale
- Judge crush, wall integrity, staining and prior use
- Photograph each lot so listings show the real box
- Flag reusable boxes out of loads marked for recycling
What we look for
A sharp eye and an honest streak. You call the lower grade when unsure, because our reputation rides on it.
CDL Driver
You move the loop. Regional runs delivering graded boxes and picking up surplus, with a backhaul network so we never ship empty air. Class A CDL, clean record, and the judgment to represent us well on every dock you touch.
What you would do
- Run regional lanes delivering graded boxes
- Pick up surplus and backhauls to keep trailers full
- Represent EcoBoxes Cali professionally on every dock
- Document deliveries and pickups accurately
What we look for
Class A CDL, clean record, and dock-side judgment. Home-based out of the Woods Cross yard on regional routes.
Logistics Coordinator
You make the freight math work. Book lanes, match pickups to backhauls, schedule the yard around inbound and outbound, and keep every order documented in writing. Detail-obsessed, calm under a full dock, fluent in email.
What you would do
- Book freight lanes and match pickups to backhauls
- Schedule the yard around inbound and outbound flow
- Keep every order documented in writing, start to finish
- Coordinate quotes, weights and pickup windows with customers
What we look for
Detail-obsessed, calm under a full dock, genuinely fluent in email. Freight or 3PL experience helps.
Upcycle Maker
Boxes too worn to reship get a third life in your hands — planters, furniture, dunnage and custom builds. Part maker, part problem-solver. If you like turning would-be waste into things people actually want, this one is for you.
What you would do
- Turn spent corrugated into planters, furniture and dunnage
- Prototype and build custom upcycle products
- Keep the shop bench organized and safe
- Spot which worn boxes are worth a third life
What we look for
A maker who problem-solves. Hand-tool and build experience matters more than a resume line.
7am to 5pm on the yard
Mornings start before the first trailer backs in. The yard crew walks the aisles, checks the day's outbound board, and stages what is already sold. When inbound loads arrive, they cross the scale, and the graders get to work — box by box, against the fixed A–D scale, with a camera close by.
By mid-morning the logistics coordinator is matching afternoon pickups to backhaul lanes so no truck leaves half-empty. Drivers roll out on regional runs; the upcycle bench hums as spent boxes become planters and dunnage. Lunch is on the picnic tables out front when the weather is good.
Afternoons are outbound-heavy: wrapping, loading, confirming pickup windows in writing, and closing out the day's orders so tomorrow starts clean. Nobody here wonders whether their work mattered — you can count it in boxes that left for a second life instead of a baler.
What this job is — and isn't
- It is real, physical, honest work with visible impact.
- It is a small crew where your name and your ideas are known.
- It is outdoors and active in every season Utah throws at us.
- It is not a desk-bound green-marketing gig with a foosball table.
- It is not a place where good work goes unnoticed — it can't here.
Why people stay
No foosball tables. Just honest work that matters and a team that has your back.
Fair pay
Straightforward, competitive wages for honest work — no games, reviewed as you grow with us.
Real sustainability work
Not a green marketing team. Every box you touch is one kept out of a landfill. The impact is the job.
A small, tight team
You will know everyone by name, your ideas get heard the same week, and good work is impossible to miss.
The full picture beyond the paycheck
No ping-pong tables. The things that actually matter when you show up every day.
Straightforward pay
Competitive wages reviewed as you grow — no opaque bonus games, no bait-and-switch offers. What we agree on is what you earn.
Stable, essential work
We have kept boxes in circulation since 2014. Reuse is not a trend that gets cut in a downturn — it gets more valuable.
Learn the whole loop
Cross-train across grading, freight and the shop. Small team means you see how the entire business fits together, not just one slice.
Home-based driving
Regional routes run out of the Woods Cross yard. Drivers stay close to home instead of living on the interstate.
Your voice carries
Suggest a better staging layout on Monday and it can be live by Friday. Good ideas do not disappear into a committee here.
Work that adds up
Every box you touch is a documented ton kept out of the ground. The impact is not a slogan — it is the job description.
What happens after you hit send
No black hole, no eight rounds. Honest work deserves an honest process.
You email us
Send a resume to hello@ecoboxescali.com with the role in the subject and a couple of sentences on why this work appeals. A clear note is your best first impression — we run email-only for a reason.
We read every one
A real person reads it, not a keyword filter. If there is a fit, you hear back within a few business days — either way, we try to close the loop.
A conversation
A straightforward chat about the work, the schedule and what you are looking for. For hands-on roles, we may walk the yard or shop so you see exactly what the day looks like.
A working look
Where it makes sense, we spend a little time seeing how you approach the actual task — grading a few boxes, a short drive check, a build. Practical, not a pop quiz.
An honest offer
If it is a match, you get a clear written offer with the pay and expectations spelled out. No surprises between the handshake and the first paycheck.
One email starts it
Email your resume to hello@ecoboxescali.com with the role in the subject line and a couple of sentences on why this kind of work appeals to you. We read every one. Because we run email-only — no phone, on purpose — writing us a clear note is genuinely the best first impression you can make.

EEO & inclusion
EcoBoxes Cali is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
Inclusion here is practical, not performative: we hire on character, skill and a genuine care for the work, we train people who show up ready rather than gatekeeping on credentials, and we make reasonable accommodations so anyone qualified can do the job well. If you need an accommodation in the application process, just say so in your email.
